Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players didn’t hit the heights of their last Premier League outing at home in the Wolves game on Tuesday night. Solskjaer masterminded a thumping victory over rivals Leeds United in the last game with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, David James and Victor Lindelof getting on the scoresheet for the Red Devils. Manchester United scored six goals in a league game at home for the first time in almost a decade as the Old Trafford giants thrashed Leeds United 6-2 in their last game at the match venue before the Wolves game.
They were unable to put on an attacking show as was the case in the Leeds United game but the Manchester United players still did enough to win the game. The only goal of the game came in added time from the Manchester United Academy graduate Marcus Rashford. He scored the goal that gave his team a 1-0 victory over their visitors, Wolves. The win took Manchester United to second place on the Premier League standings.
